I approach my work as a counselor from the understanding that each person has a unique story to tell and that every life is a rich tapestry of experiences and personal narratives. Making sense of our experiences and reframing past narratives can help to cope with the challenges that life presents.

I work from a cultural-relational framework that considers both the person and our relationships with others, and incorporate therapeutic methods such as CBT, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness Techniques. I see therapy as an opportunity to not only explore our inner lives, but to also consider how our environments and relationships shape our experiences.

Working collaboratively with clients, I assist with identifying therapeutic goals and then help you create a roadmap to achieve them.  In therapy, I provide an unconditionally supportive environment and approach each client with compassion and empathy.

I come to Choices Counseling and Consulting after working as a Career Counselor for 7 years in higher education and I am skilled in assisting individuals navigate career difficulties as well as life transition and welcome the opportunity to work with individuals, couples and families of diverse backgrounds on topics including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, grief, sexual challenges and intimacy. I hold a Masters of Education in Counseling Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University and I am working towards licensure as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York.
