Choices is hiring New York State Licensed Psychotherapists/Clinicians (Clinical Social Workers, Psychologists, Mental Health Counselors, or Marriage and Family Therapists)

This is a part-time fee for service position. Applicants are expected to provide individual, relationship, and family therapy, as well as conduct clinical assessments. Sessions are being provided via telehealth. Hours are flexible and can include evenings and weekends. Training and ongoing supervision are provided.

Choices specializes in sexual orientation and gender identity, provides services for LGBTQIA+ people and queer families, and offers an affirming place for people to safely discuss their sexuality. Choices provides ongoing training opportunities and is dedicated to reflective individual and team supervisory practices.

Choices is hiring an Office Administrator

The Office Administrator position is part-time and is $20/hour. There are no benefits included at this time. It is currently a hybrid position working both in-person and remotely. The Office Administrator performs a variety of clerical duties that assist with operating the office smoothly on a daily basis. Tasks are also assigned as needed by the Director.

This position requires strong communication, multitasking, organizational and computer skills.

Primary duties and responsibilities

  • Answers phone calls to the office and relays messages to staff
  • Enters all phone calls into the Call Log
  • Retrieves and responds to voicemail messages
  • Completes initial intakes over the phone and email with clients
  • Checks email responds to inquiries, refers to Care Coordinator
  • Checks postal mail, distributes accordingly
  • Writes and distributes email, faxes and forms
  • Distributes messages and paperwork to staff as applicable
  • Communicates with Director and Practice Manager information received from outside agencies and providers regarding any client care needs
  • Communicates with Director and senior staff to handle requests and queries
  • Copies, scans, and faxes documents as needed
  • Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the office atmosphere
  • Maintains filing room
  • Makes errand runs (ex. to post office)

  • Attends monthly staff meetings as pertinent
