Hi, I’m Lauren! I’m a clinical social worker who has been working with young people and their families for a decade in the Capital Region. My style is warm and down to earth. I love using humor, where we can, in sessions to break down anxiety and connect about the humility of experiences. I encourage mindfulness strategies during our work together, as I believe self-awareness is key to identifying the sources of pain & the strengths we have to heal and grow. In therapy, I support people in exploring options they didn’t realize they had in their lives and empowering them to choose what makes sense for them.
I feel incredibly honored to have a career that is about helping people be the best version of themselves. I love working with people who are willing to examine the individual contributions to their lives and patterns, but also the larger systematic ones. I am passionate about breaking down mental health stigma and supporting people in learning to listen to their own gut and instincts to live their best possible life.
I have worked extensively with young people, families with intergenerational trauma, people struggling with anxiety and depression, and people finding their way through life transitions. I regularly attend trainings to grow my experience in the areas of play therapy, art therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness-based strategies, and international social work.
